Hello and welcome! We are Cory and Tamrah Ryan. We’ve been married for 17 years and have been photographing professionally for almost 20. Our careers have spanned a huge variety of work from photographing U.S. Presidents to newborn babies, movie stars to cutting edge products, brides and grooms to CEO’s. The variety has been exciting.
These days, we’ve hung up our wedding photographer shoes, passed our family/high school senior clients along to other photographers, and have focused our attention on commercial/corporate work, education clients, events, headshots and portraits, video projects, and work for non-profit organizations. Our goal is to deliver technically solid, inspiring work that drives the client’s message to the audience, and have a good time doing it.
Photography is my perfect job. I love the variety of people I meet, the stories I get to tell, the friendships that have developed, and the cool high-tech photo gear. I love putting people at ease who might have come into the photo experience a little nervous. I love thinking on my feet and quietly solving problems while chatting away. I love striving to create or find perfect light to make the subjects look their best. I love happy clients.
I also love my wife, my 3 boys, my dog, and disc golf.
Hi, I’m Tamrah! I’ve been part of the photo world since I was 14 where I worked for a studio all the way through my high school years learning about photography and studio management. After that I attended Minnesota State University Moorhead for Art Education with an emphasis in photography, while also photographing weddings for local photographers. After graduating in 2003, Cory and I joined forces with our photo experience and started our own business– CT Ryan Photography. My particular focus during these years has been weddings and portraits, with some commercial and event photography. A few years ago, I started a business selling vintage home goods and clothing and have since stepped back a bit from the photography world. You’ll still see me wielding a camera at commercial events from time to time, and you’ll definitely see me photographing my vintage goods.
